Aortic Dissection Awareness Day UK 2025
The award, accepted by Prof. Gavin Murphy, BHF Chair of Cardiac Surgery at the university, recognises the excellent progress being made in the NIHR-funded DECIDE-TAD national research partnership between the university and Aortic Dissection Awareness UK & Ireland. The programme is researching the potential of increased family screening in Thoracic Aortic Disease as a means of preventing future Aortic Dissections. Aortic Dissection Awareness Day UK 2025, generously sponsored by Terumo Aortic, will take as its theme the national patient charity's THINK AORTA, THINK FAMILY campaign message and will focus on actively engaging delegates in the research being undertaken by the DECIDE-TAD programme.

The 2025 BSET Annual Meeting
will be held on Thursday 26 th and Friday 27 th June. The meeting’s unique format encourages high level discussion and participation and provides a forum for the presentation of endovascular research. BSET attracts the world’s leading endovascular specialists and the programme encompasses topics on aortic, peripheral and venous intervention. The meeting is held at the historic Tortworth Court Hotel, set in stunning surroundings in the South Cotswolds, just off the M5 motorway and 20 minutes from Bristol Parkway Station. The registration fee includes overnight accommodation and dinner at the hotel.
