It is with great pleasure and excitement that we welcome you to the Inaugural Edinburgh Aortic Summit 2025, taking place on June 12–13, 2025, at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Established in 1505, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is the oldest surgical college in the world, renowned for its legacy of surgical excellence and innovation. This prestigious institution provides the perfect setting for this landmark event, where leading aortic experts will come together to advance the field of aortic care.
For the first time in 2024, the Aorta has been recognised as an independent organ, highlighting its crucial role in systemic circulation and overall cardiovascular health. The 24th organ: the aorta. The main concept of the new EACTS/STS Guidelines. This recognition reinforces the need for a multidisciplinary approach in managing aortic disease, bringing together expertise from Aortic Experts in Cardiovascular Surgery, Anaesthesia, and Radiology.
The Edinburgh Aortic Summit has been designed to serve as a platform for innovation, education, and international collaboration. Our goal is to foster meaningful discussions that drive progress in the treatment of all aortic pathologies, ensuring the best outcomes for patients through cutting-edge advancements and shared expertise. With a distinguished faculty of leading aortic experts, engaging keynote sessions, and interactive case discussions, this summit aims to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
